Light liquid separators are used wherever wastewater can be contaminated by fuels and/or lubricants. This applies, for example, to the vehicle industry such as petrol stations, car washes or workshops as well as multi-storey car parks, scrapyards and transfer stations. In such businesses it is absolutely necessary for the wastewater to be pretreated – not least because a single drop of fuel is sufficient to make one cubic metre of water unusable.
